John Fletcher Birchette

John Fletcher Birchette, III (Licensed Funeral Director-Licensed Insurance Agent) serves as president of Birchette Mortuary, Inc. since the death of his father. 
He attended Langston High School, Morehouse College, and East Tennessee State University. He is a retired employee of the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs where he worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist during the course of a thirty-three year career. 
Mr. Fletcher has served on several boards including the Senior Citizen Advisory Board, Civil Service Board for City of Johnson City, Boy's Club Board, Widowed Persons Board and CORE. He is a member of Thankful Baptist Church and the Pro-To Club
